Hi everyone, hope you are doing well,
I'm turning 18 in less than a week now, and I'm about to start investing. My whole life ive been interested in the investing world, ive saved up about $8,000 and work, so I've got an income (which like 85% will go into investing). By the time I'm 20-21, I would like to be married and start a family, by that portion of time, I'll probably have to dip into my investments (not take everything but a good amount) and savings. I've done alot of research and was targeting of putting nearly half my savings and income into BTC, the rest will probably be in a range of ETFs and stocks etc. Now I know as time passes, depending on how BTC is performing, that 50% of my money that I'm investing will change, not because I'm worried about its value but because I'm going to need the money soon. I know bitcoin is highly volatile and even if everyone disagrees with me Ill probably still invest in it, but im just worried if 2-3 years is too short of a time to invest so heavy in BTC, as I said some of the money will probably stay invested for 20+ years. I know starting a family at 20-21 in this economy is extremely difficult which is why Im researching working hard and reaching out to you guys. Is having 50%+ of my hard earnt money too much in the stage that im in with my goals?
Thanks in advance for all the replies
